I had the pleasure of designing the brand identity and menus for DiAnoia's Eatery, a cafe, deli and restaurant. When I first met with husband and wife proprietors, Dave Anoia and Aimee DiAndrea, to discuss their vision for their future restaurant they painted a picture of a place where you could enjoy delicious Italian food and good company in a bright and welcoming environment. Located in the Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, the restaurant's tall white walls are decorated with custom wood pieces created by Bandy Woodworks, and colored glass accents collected by Dave and Aimee on their travels to Italy.

For the logomark I was inspired by monoline scripts used in classic Italian signage. I also created supporting marks that featured illustrations of quintessential Italian food items, spanning all meals. The color palette reflects the restaurant's bright space filled with Murano glass accents, with bold blues and greens set against crisp white backgrounds.
